We can’t speak the same language as dogs, but wecan still communicate. When the dog did something right, we use a signal like a clicker or a word like ‘Yes’ tomark it and teach the dog.
That’s why we use the same signal for every training. Dogs naturally learn that yes Or clicker = correct = reward.
If they look at us, Yes, if theycalm down, Yes, if they sit when told, yes. By consistently doing this, even puppies canlearn quickly.
Of course, when teaching something, be sure to give a reward after saying Yes.
It can be touching, petting, treats, or playing with toys.
What’s important is to givethem what they want at that moment.
