⠀⠀⠀I give my puppy ‘punishments’.Punishments include ignoring, saying ‘No’, and taking away toys etc.

When I puppy bites me, I give them the ‘punishment’ ⠀of ignoring them. However, if my puppy continues to bite and doesn’t stop, it means that the ‘punishment’ is not effective. ⠀⠀⠀⠀

If I say ‘no’ and they stop, then that can be considered an⠀effective punishment. It’s important to observe your dog’s behavior and adjust your approach accordingly.

Also, dogs can sense tone of voice and facial expressions, so if you’re laughing or using a high-pitched tone, they may think it’s playtime and become even more excited. I’ve noticed that Charlie hates being scolded with a ‘No’, so I try to avoid saying it as much as possible. Instead, I focus on preventing unwanted behavior.⠀

Give him many other fun games, biting materials too♥️ Please observe your dog carefully from today. ⠀⠀⠀It’s cold in Melbourne today, but I hope you all stay warm and have a good day.⠀⠀
