Today, I met someone who told me they have never had a dog before, but would love to have one someday. Sunny was absolutely delighted to play with them 😂⠀⠀

As we talked, I realised how full of worries and uncertainties people can be when they’ve never had a dog before. But they asked so many thoughtful questions, and by actually meeting Sunny in person, it seemed that some of their concerns and doubts were gently eased.

I made it very clear that it’s completely okay if they decide not to get a dog at all. It’s also perfectly fine if they welcome a dog next year, or even the year after. Even if they plan to have a pug or a Maltese someday that’s absolutely no problem too. Simply meeting someone who says, “I’d like to have a dog one day,” made me feel as though they were already a friend, almost like part of the same community 😆It filled my heart with such happiness.

It also made me think that by supporting first-time dog owners — not just placing a puppy and that’s the end but continuing to offer guidance with training and worries along the way, people might feel much more confident and at ease about welcoming a dog into their lives.I truly feel so blessed to be able to work with the dogs I love.

To everyone who always supports and encourages me thank you so, so much. I honestly feel like shouting it from the top of my lungs 😂If you’re in Melbourne, please do come and visit us 🥰 I would love to meet you! ❣️⠀
