I’ll share a training tip with my followers to help their dogs become surprisingly obedient. As you may know, socialisation training is crucial for puppies. My second litter is almost 16 weeks old, and we’re wrapping up their socialisation period. In addition to the various things you’re teaching them, please add ‘eye contact’ training starting today šŸ˜‰

Whenever your dog looks at you, be sure to praise and reward them, whether at home or outside. If they can sit 90% of the time, hold off on rewards until they make eye contact.

This ‘eye contact’ training is extremely important and effective for all training. Of course, it won’t be easy at first, but let’s teach them to make eye contact gradually. The method is simple: just wait. Don’t force them to look at you, and avoid calling their name or making sounds. When they make eye contact, say ‘Yes’ and reward them. Don’t miss the moment!

At first, it’s okay if they only look for a brief moment. Once they get the hang of it, we can increase the duration and practice eye contact while sitting or even walking.

Today looks like a beautiful day. Have a wonderful dayšŸ’“
