When a new puppy arrives, youcan start toilet training immediately. ⠀⠀

Here are the basics of puppytoilet training

⠀✅️ Decide on a toilet location ⠀⠀

Choose a flat area such as a balcony, bathroom, or outdoor space where youcan take the puppy to the toilet. The puppy will learn to associate thislocation with going to the toilet.

✅️ Limit the puppy’s movement

Use a baby circle or other means tolimit the puppy’s movement, reducingthe stress of toilet accidents. As the puppy becomes more accustomed to the toilet, you can gradually expand the area.

✅️ Take the puppy at the right time

Important times include after waking up,after meals, and after playtime. Puppiescan’t hold their bladder for long, so createmany opportunities for them to go tothe toilet. Of course, the timing willchange as the puppy grows.

✅️ Don’t miss the signs

Puppies will exhibit certain behaviourwhen they need to go to the toilet, such as sniffing, circling, or squatting.Don’t miss these signs, and take thepuppy to the toilet immediately.

✅️ Understand associations

Puppies learn associations duringtraining, such as linking the toiletlocation with the smell of urine, feces, and ammonia. They also associatethe toilet with the feeling of their pawson the ground and the commandto go to the toilet.

✅️ Reward good behaviour

Praise and reward the puppy whenthey successfully use the toilet in thedesignated location. This positivereinforcement will help the puppylearn faster.⠀⠀

Remember, the most important thingis not to scold or punish the puppy foraccidents. With patience and consistency, the puppy will learn to use the toiletin no time 😉
