We give dogs a phone (to kill boredom) to entertain them.⠀

“environment enrichment”.⠀

There are many ways to do this,⠀
but here are a few that I do.⠀

🐶 Kong ⠀
I freeze yogurt and chicken⠀
neck.⠀
⠀
🐶 Sock. ⠀
Put the treats in an old sock.⠀
Sky loves sock 😅⠀
⠀
🐶 Empty plastic bottle.⠀
Put the treat in⠀
⠀
🐶 Dog puzzle ⠀
⠀
🐶 Toy (treats will come out⠀
when dropped) ⠀
⠀
🐶 Paper egg carton with treats⠀
(but this is very messy so⠀
I only do it when I am home)⠀

⠀
Instead of just handing them out,⠀
I hide them around the house⠀
and leave the house. ⠀
⠀
I adjust what I give them based on how long I will be gone.⠀
⠀
⠀
Environment enrichment helps⠀
Unwanted behaviour such as⠀
Excessive barking, breaking and⠀
the dog enjoys time for itself. ⠀
⠀
⠀
If you don’t like to give treats⠀
to your dog, you can give him⠀
something new for him. ⠀
⠀
E.g. sandpits or a new toy just for when you are away from home.⠀
⠀
⠀

dog’s misbehavior while you⠀
are away from home⠀
